Eissa-the magic word with all the significant meanings it carried with it over the years.

It is the surname of one of the old well-established families in the countryside of Egypt , which one of its sons, the grandfather “ El Sayed Eissa ” was determined to spread , and after him , his sons , in the fulfillment of his dream , he started to buy more and more land in different parts of the Nile delta for his sons to cultivate.

In the fifties and sixties his two sons “Helmy” and “El Sayed Junior” followed their father's path and continued to cultivate the land. After the death of “El Sayed“ his brother continued with the cultivation of traditional exportable crops such as cotton , wheat , maize , green beans, sweet potatoes , potatoes and citrus , which he was selling to Egyptian exporters.

In the early seventies “Eng. Ali Eissa”, the third generation and the son of the above mentioned “ Helmy Eissa ”, opened his first small export office to market the family products abroad especially the air-freighted ones.

In 1981 as his two cousins Engineers “Adel” & "Nabil Eissa” , sons of “El Sayed” , joined his activity, they thought of establishing a new company under the name “Eissa Trade” and expanding its activities. The first step was a bright idea of building its own potato packing house which was gradually linked to most of the famous supermarket chains in EUROPE especially the “UK & GERMANY”. In 1988 they built their new citrus packing house which became a piece of art for modern machinery as well as its cold storing systems .

In September 2004 , the company added a new citrus line to its facilities not only to increase volumes , but to improve the quality reaching a capacity of 40 tons per hour. In September 1995 , and as the movement for investing was amazingly increasing in Egypt and consequently the volumes of exports were tremendously increasing , the energetic and ambitious partners of “Eissa Trade " thought it is advisable to transform their company into a new joint stock company . Having the same owner as its only shareholders, “NAHDET MISR CO. FOR AGRO-INDUSTRIES (S.A.E)” was born . This new company started to expand even in the desert in order to reclaim new areas of land and to have , not only its own packing houses and cold stores but also its own newly cultivated plantations for quality assurance. Now the company is investing in an area of 1500 hectares of desert farms in both “Eastern and Western desert” . In 1996 , the first member of the Eissa family 4 th generation joined in.
"Helmy Ali Eissa" joined with unlimited ambitions in order to always keep new blood in the company's members. In 2007, the second member of the family's 4^th generation, "Sarah Adel Eissa" also joined in.

The company has a clear mission statement which is to supply its customers with the “Best Freshest Quality at Competitive Prices" . In 2001 the company farm got the
4^th Eurep-gap certificate in Egypt , and in February 2005 was accredited with Nature's Choice. We are now working with the accreditation of all the remaining farms with Eurep-gap and BRC for all our farms and packing houses.
